Sticky Keys provide a convenient way to use keyboard shortcuts on your Windows 11 PC, but they aren't for everyone. If you accidentally turn it on  and prefer the standard shortcut approach, you can easily disable Sticky Keys on your Windows PC. Here are some ways to do this:

Sticky Keys is a Windows accessibility feature that simplifies the use of keyboard shortcuts. By default, when pressing a key combination, both or all  keys must be pressed at the same time.

For example,  to open a file in an app, you normally press the Windows O key at the same time, but if Sticky Keys is enabled, you can press  and release Windows and press the O key. You don't have to hold  the first button until you press the second button. 

If you have trouble pressing multiple keys at once, we recommend using Sticky Keys. This feature allows you to essentially pin a key so that it sticks until the next key is pressed.

There are several ways to disable sticky keys and use  keyboard shortcuts normally. Each method is performed differently but yields the same result. Here are your options. 

Using keyboard shortcuts 

Similar to Windows 10, the easiest way to disable Sticky Keys on your Windows 11 PC is to use the Shift key. Pressing the Shift key five times in a row causes Windows to turn off  Sticky Keys. You won't see a confirmation message on the screen, but don't worry, the feature is disabled. To check this, press the Windows key. You'll find that it opens the Start menu immediately instead of waiting for you to press the next key.

Quick Settings provides shortcuts to various useful functions on your Windows PC. One of them is  Sticky Key Shortcuts. You can use this menu to turn the Sticky Keys feature on or off.  

To use it, press Windows A to open Quick Settings. Another way to open this menu is by clicking his Wi-Fi or battery icon in the taskbar. Using settings 

The Windows Settings app also has an option to enable or disable Sticky Keys.  To use it, press Windows i to open Settings. In the left sidebar, click Accessibility. In the right pane, select Keyboard. 

 Using the control panel 

The Windows 11 Control Panel also has a Sticky Keys option to enable or disable this feature.
